Fuel for the fire

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will
not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will
not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and
determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved
and always will solve the problems of the human race"—Calvin Coolidge

My life has been hectic to say the least. Out of 100, my stress level has been a 99. With that level of stress comes doubt, the new existence of obstacles, and a lot of fear. They all go hand and hand, and when one pops up, the rest are right behind. But what do you do when this happens. Do you stay the course? Or bail out like 99.9% of people do??? That decision alone can keep you up at night…and recently, it has. But I have found that with lofty goals comes a hefty amount of work and a lot of stress. But those are small prices to pay for victory. Keeping that in mind and ignoring the massive amount of stress on my shoulders I decided, as always, to say fuck it. I wasn’t going to worry about the stress. I decided to ignore the anxiety. And the fear…I turned it into fuel for my fire. I did this through constant renewal on my goals and taking a step out of my current situation and looking at it through a consultant’s eyes. What would I tell myself? And is my advice right for me? Well it turned out it was! Nothing is as bad as you think it is and nothing DOESN’T have an answer. The thing that you find out at the other end...is that all of that happened as a test...and that fear and stress can now be used as a tool. Because if you really think about it…What is stress? It is fear about the future. But you cant live your life thinking about the future and not taking care of the present. You have to dominate today, plan accordingly for the future (don’t dwell) and have faith in yourself. Because I promise you, victory tastes a lot better than defeat...
